I ignored ChatGPT for a year

After years of building with Django and React, I dismissed ChatGPT until a junior developer completed a familiar authentication task far faster than I expected. The code was rough. The change in workflow was real.

about

I’m Harsha. I have been building software since 2015. I started with HTML and CSS in Ruby on Rails, and React, Django, and REST APIs have been my core stack since 2019. Over time, my work expanded into customer onboarding and leading a team.

From May 2023 to November 2024, I worked as a freelancer and started using AI seriously. I now focus on AI development and system design, building on the web engineering experience that came before it. Away from work, I’m a father, husband, son, and Liverpool supporter, so patience and unreasonable optimism are familiar. I write here about what I build and what I am still learning. If something here is wrong or interesting, write to me.
